Important Changes in Criteria For Counting Low Power DTVs via E-skip
When it comes to DTV DXing, difficulty of reception is more important for DXers than FCC DTV station classifications. The purpose of this page is to keep track of DTV DX feats. Therefore, I recently asked Ed Phelps for suggestions on new criteria to categorize DTV "Low Powered" DTVs. Based on Ed's suggestions, this is the new criteria:

The DXer must receive PSIP ID data (calls, station name, remapped channel), video, or both. These are not considered legitimate logs for the purpose of this page: (1) The presence of snow on an analog TV screen; (2) A DTV signal indicated on a STB signal meter or light, scanner, or communications receiver. |
