Positive ID Material?

Be careful about what you think is "positive" ID material from Mexico.

As this is on channel 4, the "Mty." lower left and the Monterrey phone number mean this is Azteca-13 relayer XHWX-4 Monterrey, does it not? The Mty number was alternating with a national (DF) number.

The program ends:
INOVA is a national infomercial program.
Next:
Here comes the dreaded "f" logo used by Televisa's Foro TV, which means this is definately not Azteca station XHWX.
This is actually XHTV-4 Mexico City.
I knew all along this was not XHWX-4, because XEFB-2 was nowhere to be seen. Channel 2 was filled with XEWO Guadalajara and an unIDed XEW-2 relayer (probably the real XEW-2).

Here is one that is totally different.

"3E"
Look at this new educational station I received!
Uh oh, it is only XHP-3 Puebla running an advertising show for what appears to be a Puebla religious school.

Real TV DX is Not Always Pretty

This is another one in the difficult-to-read-ID series. It is Galavision / Local XHAGU-2.

I know this is not XEPM-2 because this was in Azteca programming.

XEFE-2 via Tropo at 483 Miles
October 5, 2012

XEFE-2 Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas is my eighth TV station received via E-skip, Tropo, and Meteor Scatter. XEFE-2 is also my twenty-fifth TV station received via both E-skip and tropo

While XEFE has been received numerous times over the years via E-skip and Meteor Scatter, the station has been received by tropo only twice (the first time was in August).

Although XHPNG-6 has been IDed here numerous times by a text ID upper right, this October 5 reception is a guesstimate based on direction and DX conditions. Guesstimates work a lot better with tropo than with E-skip. XHPN-3 was in weakly later in the morning with their unique logo upper right on "Las Noticias" local news.
