UnID Televisa Channel 2 If anyone knows which station uses this logo, please let me know. This unknown and unusual-looking "2" is superimposed upper right on talker Laura. This is either a Televisa independent or Galavision / Local station. My best guess is XHAGU-2 Aguacalientes, which had a logo in the past that was similar yet thinner than this logo. Another difference in the unID logo is the up-turned right edge of the bottom. XEWO-2 Guadalajara and XHLGT-2 Leon were mixed with this station.

YNTC-2 ( ) Managua, Nicaragua 1,475 miles via Es Can you see the big "2" in this picture? No, your eyesight is not failing. It was one of those days when the most-interesting signals looked bad. After all, it was Friday the 13th. July 13, 2012 |
XHCAM-2 Campeche, CAMP 890 miles via Es "azteca campeche" If you look closely, you might be able to read this one. July 13, 2012 |
XHVIZ-3 Villahermosa, TAB 1003 miles via Es That fellow must be mighty boring; look at the woman sleeping. July 22, 2012 |
CIII-2 Bancroft, ON 1002 miles via Es Many colorful "Global" IDs have been recorded here, but both of the full-screen "Global Toronto" IDs recorded here are black & white (due to fades, jerks, and CCI). I have never felt good about claiming Canada's difficult-to-ID network relayers. Global from Ontario was always common via E-skip on channels 2, 4, and 6. Therefore, I count only one for each of those channels (and hopefully they are the right ones). July 24, 2012 |
CIII-2 Bancroft, ON 1002 miles via Es Ad for "Toronto's Lite Favourites" July 29, 2012 |
CICI-5 Sudbury, ON 1183 miles via Es "1-888-CTV-TIP5" CICI-5 is the key station of CTV Northern Ontario. The "5" in the Northern Ontario news tips phone number is CICI-5. News promos with that phone number can be seen on all CTV Northern Ontario stations. July 24, 2012 |
CKND2-2 Minnedosa, MB 1276 miles via Es CKND2 relays Global's CKND Winnipeg. That is the Winnipeg skyline in the background of the conclusion of the local Global newscast. CKND2-2 has long been my easiest ID from west of Ontario. This is another station that used call letter IDs several years ago. July 24, 2012 |
CBKT7-3 Warmley, SASK 1285 miles via Es CBKT7 relays CBC's CBKT Regina. "Saskatoon" is lower left on local CBC Saskatchewan News. I feel confident that this is the Warmley relayer because that city is in the same region as Brandon and Minnedosa (which were also being received at the time). July 24, 2012 |
XHCH-2 Chihuahua, CHIH 777 miles via Es Do you see "Chihuahua"? I know this is not XEPM-2 because this was in Azteca late-night news programming. July 24, 2010 |

XHPNG-6 Piedras Negras, COAH 477 miles via Tropo "TV AZTECA" Although XHPNG-6 has been IDed here numerous times by a text ID upper right, this October 5 reception is a guesstimate based on direction and DX conditions. Guesstimates work a lot better with tropo than with E-skip. XHPN-3 was in weakly later in the morning with their unique logo upper right on "Las Noticias" local news. October 5, 2012 |
KWEX-DT-41 San Antonio, TX 343 miles via Tropo KWEX-DT was previously logged on channel 38. Oddly, this is my first reception of KWEX-DT since the DTV moved from channel 38 to channel 41 in 2009. I suppose KUBE-DT and KXAS-DT may have been part of the problem. This situation makes me think that I should either quit DTV DXing or repair my more-directional P-5 UHF dish and put it back into DX action before the federal government sells off all OTA TV frequencies.
